Region I -
U20 Tournament

The USASA and the USASA Region 1 National Cups Committee are organizing the 2009 U20 National Tournament for both Men and Women.

 The event will be in the format of a weekend tournament and is hosted by the New Jersey Soccer Association.

  The dates of the 2009 U20 Tournament will be July 18 and July 19, 2009 and it will be played in Manalapan , NJ .

  The dealine to enter is JUNE 20, 2009.

Tournament Rosters are due on June 30, 2009

All participating players must be born ON or AFTER Aug. 1, 1988

Tournament Rules and Information document, an Entry Form and a blank Tournament Roster Form can de downloaded from this website.

 Please read and familiarize yourself with all the rules a regulations

 Teams from ALL states (not just from Region 1) will be accepted.

USYS Youth teams will also be accepted provided they get an insurance waiver from their Youth state or organization.

There is no limitation to the number of teams that a single State/ League can send to the tournament.

Teams will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis. 

All the needed information for the teams, including directions and hotel information, are also available online.

And then, on Sunday, it was thunder and heavy rain. Running for the shelter, at the end of the first half of the first two games, was the only action going on in the Manalapan Rec. Center. The waiting time was over one hour and then a decision was made to finish the tournament next Saturday, because the weather was not clearing and the news were very grim for an opening in the sky.
