2011/2012 Season

List of Teams in the NJ Cups

We played all the games for the first phase of the NJ Cups. All the Cups are in the quarter-finals stage.

As you know, starting with the quarter-finals, the games must be played on weekdays, with a start not earlier then 7:00 PM and not later than 9:00 PM. Weekdays mean Monday to Friday.

To play above or behind these limits, both teams must agree. To play on Saturday or Sunday, besides the agreement from both teams, I also need to receive an agreement from the Leagues of affiliation of both teams. There are no exceptions for the above.

The Cup Schedules are posted in the website. Please check out your schedule and find out your opponent. The team in  BOLD BLUE ITALIC  is the home team.

These are the target dates for each round:

Quarter-Finals: All games must be played by April 25, 2012

Semi-Finals: All games must be played by May 18, 2012

Finals: The four finals must be played by May 31.

As earlier as in March, both teams should start to contact each other and start conversations about play time and date. Ultimately, the home team must provide a field and a play time, within the rules and before the target dates, and the visiting team must be ready to play.

I want this process to be mutual and free of intervention, between the two teams. I only intervene in the process when it ends in a deadlock, about ten days before the target date. Then, and only then, I will enforce the rules.

Important things to remember:

1 - Report your game's score within 24 hours by email to:
      carlospais@matiota.com

2 - Report your changes to fields and playing times ASAP. Last minute changes will not be allowed.

HOW TO DO YOUR GAME LINE-UP SHEET

The NJ State and the National Cup game Line-Up Sheets must be printed from the NJSA WEBSITE (www.soccernjsa.com)

1)      Go to MEMBERS ONLY

2)      Click on the TEAMS Link

3)      Choose the League and your team name

4)      Enter your team’s Username and Password

5)      Click on the link named “CUPS Roster Management”

6)      You will see the list of all APPROVED players for your team

7)      You will have to choose (check the box next to the player’s name) the 18 players that are going to be used at the Cup game.

8)      The first column is for the NJ STATE CUP line-up

9)      The second column is for the US NATIONAL CUP line-up

10)   After you select the player, you can click on “Print the NJ Cup Game Line-up” or the “Print the US Cup Game Line-up” button

Once the Line-up is printed, you will have to WRITE BY HAND the player’s SHIRT NUMBER, and each player MUST SIGN the line-up before he plays.

The Game Line-up will also have the list of Team Officers Registered and Approved for your team.

You present that Cup Game Line-up to the referee TOGETHER with the Player passes and the Team Officer’s card(s).

Using any other form of line-up will be fined $25

Please be aware that this year, EVERY TEAM MUST PRESENT TO THE REFEREE AT LEAST ONE TEAM OFFICER CARD.

Those are the White cards with RED INK that you are supposed to get from the State Registrar when you registered the Team Officer.

The Team Officer MUST be present at the game.

A Player CAN also be a Team Officer provided he was registered online as a Team Officer and presents the Team Officer card to the referee. In this case he would have TWO cards: one as a Player and one as a Team officer

Please log in as a Team manager and MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE AT LEAST ONE TEAM OFFICER REGISTERED AND APPROVED.

If you do not have a Team Officer or you would like to add one, all you have to do is Register him/her online (under REGISTRATION, select Team Officer Registration), PRINT the team Officer Registration and MAIL it to the NJSA with a COLOR PICTURE.

There is NO FEE to register a Team Managers

If the Team Officer is registered BUT is NOT APPROVED, then probably the NJSA did not get his/her Team Officer registration form or the picture. Please call the NJSA office (609-587-9265) to make sure that you get a Team Officer card made before the game.

There is a fine of $25 for any team that DOES NOT PRESENT AT LEAST ONE TEAM OFFICER CARD to the referee.

The presence of at least ONE team officer is required by the Insurance: someone who is responsible for the team must be present at any game or team activity in order to get Insurance coverage.
